The Kannada film industry is on a roll. The Pan-India film K.G.F showed the nation what the Kannada industry can do as it became one of the highest-earning films in the country. The action thriller earned around Rs 1,000 crores and set the box office on fire. Vikrant Rona pushed the Kannada pride further.
Now it’s the turn of current sensation Kantara to see a big success in India. Though the action thriller started as a small Kannada film it went on to become a big film with brilliant content and good direction skills. The traditions and costumes set out in a remote area were present on the silver screen.
The film had no big star cast and big promotional activities were not held in a big way. Just the content of the film made it a big hit across the languages. The film is still running successfully even weeks after its theatrical release.
An international cricketer became a fan of Kantara and promoted the action entertainer. Having met the actor-director of Kantara Rishabh Shetty, the cricketer promoted the current sensation.
The cricketer who promoted the film is former South African player AB de Villiers. The video shared on Instagram by AB de Villiers and Rishab Shetty shows a few visuals from Kantara and the practice session of the cricketer in the nets. The collaboration took the RCB fans by surprise.
AB de Villiers is one of the most loved foreign cricketers in India due to his association with Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the IPL. RCB fans love him and the former South African player also loves Indian fans. On many occasions, AB de Villiers aka 360° called India his second home for the kind of support and love he receives from Indian fans and RCB fans.
