Nayani Narasimha Reddy who served as a minister from 2005 to 2008 in YS Rajasekhar Reddy’s reign passed away. He breathed for the final time while taking treatment at Jubilee Hills Apollo hospital to which he was admitted a few days ago.
Narasimha Reddy was suffering from serious respiratory issues and had been getting treatment on ventilator support and was on dialysis. Nayani was earlier reported for COVID-19 infection and was cured of it. However, he was admitted to Apollo after reporting a severe lung infection.
His health condition has been critical for the past few days and earlier, he had also cardiac arrest and breathed his last today. Telangana CM KCR visited Nayani Narsimha Reddy at Apollo a few hours back and comforted his family.
Coming to his political career, Nayani got elected three times as MLA and served from the Musheerabad constituency. He first got elected as MLA in 1978. He served as MLA in the combined state of Andhra Pradesh in 1985 and 2004 elections.
Narasimha Reddy also played a crucial part in the second Telangana movement and joins the TRS party in 2001. This senior political leader also served as Home Minister in KCR’s cabinet after the Telangana state was formed.
