Former Miss Andhra Pradesh Vijaya Lakshmi took a drastic step as she attempted to end her life in Khammam on Friday. Doused in kerosene, Vijaya Lakshmi tried to burn herself. However, neighbours came to her rescue. Vijaya Lakshmi is frustrated over “family rift” over assets.
She alleged that her brother has been harassing her for money for a while and she went onto allege that she has life threat from her own brother.
Vijaya Lakshmi was earlier victim of an acid attack. One side of her face was burnt in a tragic incident. With continuous harassment from her brother in form of “domestic violence”, Vijaya Lakshmi decided to claim her life. Khammam II town police are investigating the case.
