A teenager from the Dharavi Slum was selected as the face of the luxury beauty brand Forest Essentials. The girl featured in the luxury brand’s campaign The Yuvati Collection to “empower young minds”. Her inspirational journey is winning hearts and people are talking about the teenager’s achievement.
Maleesha Kharwa, a 14-year-old girl from Mumbai’s Dharavi Slum who shot to super fame when Hollywood actor Robert Hoffman three years back was now selected as the new campaign of luxury beauty brand Forest Essentials- The Yuvati Collection.
As the campaign suggests, it aims at empowering young minds. With a beautiful post, the New Delhi-based luxury brand announced Maleesha Kharwa being a part of the campaign. The video shared on Instagram shows Maleesha Kharwa entering a store that has her pictures outside the store and inside the store as well.
The teenage girl faced an experience that no words can describe. Coming from a slum area, she became the face of the campaign. She is just 15 years who calls herself the Princess Of The Slum. In her social media posts, she uses the hashtag. At an early age, she is enjoying a good following on social media and she has over 200k followers.
“Her face lit up with pure delight, To see her dreams in front of her in sight. Maleesha’s story is a beautiful reminder that dreams really do come true. #BecauseYourDreamsMatter,” the luxury brand captioned the post.
Hollywood actor Robert Hoffman discovering her back in 2020 during the Covid time changed her life. Knowing that creating a name for herself is Maleesha Kharwa’s aim, the actor started a Go Fund Me page to help her in achieving what she dreamt of.
There is no stopping for her after that. She took part in a few modeling projects. Maleesha Kharwa is also said to have appeared in a critically acclaimed short film recently.
