Gaali Janardhan Reddy Gets Bail

Former Karnataka minister, mining baron Gaali Janardhan Reddy who spent more than 4 years in jail for illegal mining, finally got some relief from court. Supreme Court on Tuesday granted conditional bail in Obulapuram Mining Company scam to Gaali Janardhan Reddy. 
Though Supreme Court granted him bail he has to spend couple of days in Bengaluru’s Parappana Agrahara Prison as it takers time for the prison authorities to receive the certified copy of the bail orders. 
Supreme Court directed Gaali Janardhan Reddy not to visit his home town Ballari and Kadapa where his Obalapuram Mining Company is situated and surrender his passport to the court. Court also asked him to pay Rs. 20 lakh cash as surety and directed him to cooperate with investigations. 
Reddy’s bail application was earlier rejected by the CBI special court though his got bail in three other cases.
