If trade rumors are to be believed, mega power star garners around Rs 8.7 crore plus on Day One for his latest film GAV and expected to do better in festival holidays this weekend. However, Charan couldn’t beat the First Day records established by superstars Pawan Kalyan and Mahesh Babu who clocked more than 10 crore plus for “Atharintiki…” and “Aagadu” respectively.
Although, Charan bettered his own record of Nayak and Yevadu (which touched 8 core and 8.5 crore on day one respectively), but falls short of his rivals records by a good margin. “Overwhelming crowds, unfortunately led to the death of fan, but with mixed reviews, we have to see, how its collections sustain and improve and next few holidays are crucial to break records” says a distributor. We have to wait and watch.
