Tamil Nadu Governor Vidya Sagar Rao, who intervened at the last moment to handle political situation in state, has denied permission to Sasikala for swearing in ceremony and gave her a big jolt. In addition, he is said to have fired at TN CS and DGP for making arrangements for swearing in ceremony without any prior official order.

Reportedly, Vidya Sagar Rao was upset with the Raj Bhavan and in his 50-minute meeting with DJP Rajendran, TN chief secretary Girija Vaidyanathan & Police Commissioner of Chennai-George, he asked them to open up on whose force they made arrangements at Centenary Hall, Madras University in Chennai. The officers have already spent lakhs of rupees for the event which was intended to crown Sasikala as new Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

A speculation has it that Sasikala’s camp has influenced top officials in government to make arrangements for her oath taking ceremony and it has received severe backlash for not-communicating with state Governor. The two state governor also asked the DGP to verify there was any coercion imposed on MLAs to support either of the contenders.

The State Governor, on Friday, ordered officials remove section 144 at Marina Beach, which was imposed by Chennai police considering the large people turnout for swearing in. Also, he asked to officials not to take any decision without his consent as the state government is under severe political crisis. With this, a picture is coming out that state administration is slowly slipping into the hands of Raj Bhavan.
