Ever since Nara Lokesh stepped into active politics a couple of years ago, his rise in TDP has been phenomenal and in no time, Lokesh grew into a trusted lieutenant of his father and Andhra Pradesh CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Now, Lokesh touched many hearts with his kind gesture towards 225 families belonging to lower castes which won immense respect for this young politician and turned him into the Messiah of the masses.
Since several decades, nearly 300 families belonging to the SC, ST and Minority communities have been living in the Jyothi Rao Phule Colony of Kolluru in Kurnool district. The poor families do not possess pattas for the plots they live in and this led to many anti-social elements and land grabbers who have been threatening them to vacate the area and even burned their houses to frighten them.
The previous government did not look into the poor people’s numerous pleas of allotting land pattas so they can own the plots and live peacefully. However, the 300 families met Nara Lokesh after TDP came into power and the young Nara scion immediately took up the matter with concerned authorities towards this long pending grievance.
Recently, 225 families have been given pattas and the rest of the families will also be given the pattas soon. With this touching deed by going all out for the poor, Lokesh won the hearts of not just these desperate families but also the common people. Mentioning about his deed, an emotional Lokesh said, “Nothing can buy the joy that shows in their eyes.”
