he Budget sessions had started in Telangana on Monday. On the same day, the budget sessions in fellow Telugu state Andhra Pradesh had also started. Looks con-incidental right. You are wrong. There is something else that is common in the budget sessions in both Telugu states.
Tension gripped the Assembly houses in both states with Governor Issue. Though the topics are different, a ruckus prevailed in the houses due to the issues that are related to the Governor. The Telangana BJP leaders have protested against the TRS government for not following the procedure as Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan did not address the house.
Unhappy with this, three BJP MLAs have raised their voice and protested against the same. They were suspended in the end and sent out of the house for not letting Finance Minister Harish Rao table the budget. They were suspended for the entire session and they had protested against this outside the Assembly. Later, they were taken out of the Assembly.
On the other hand, tension gripped the Andhra Pradesh Assembly when Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan had started his address for both houses. When the address had started, the Telugu Desam Party leaders had raised Go Back slogans.
The opposition leaders alleged that the Governor had failed to protect the Constitutional systems and also claimed that the Governor had failed to control the state government and sought an answer for this. When the marshals asked the TDP leaders to let the Governor finish his address, the TDP leaders walked out of the house.
On the inaugural days of the budget sessions, we saw both houses seeing tense situations with issues that are related to the Governors of respective states.
