Hello Day 2: No Improvement!

Akhil Akkineni’s ‘Hello’ is witnessing a very tough going at worldwide box office. The film’s poor theatrical run is very appalling considering that it received good reviews and decent talk. After taking a substandard opening on Day 1, Hello couldn’t see any sign of growth on its day 2, Saturday.

The Akhil-starrrer could collect a mere distributor share of Rs 1.66 Cr on its day 2 (almost half of what relatively poorly-made film, Nani’s MCA collected on its day 3). The 2 days cumulative share of Hello stands at a dubious 4.36 Cr from the Telugu states. The worldwide share amounts to 6.8 Cr with a gross of 14 Cr.

Break-up of distributor share:

Nizam – 1,61,00,000
Ceded – 70,00,000
Nellore – 16,00,000
Guntur – 54,22,947
Krishna – 34,92,958
West – 22,00,000
East – 29,22,441
Uttharandhra – 49,00,000

Total 2 days AP & TS share – 4.36 Cr (Gross – 8.5 Cr)

Total 2 days Worldwide share – 6.8 Cr (Gross – 14 Cr)

The Vikram Kumar directorial is faring better in US, it collected around $480K by Saturday.

Since the film’s theatrical rights were valued at Rs 33 crores, Hello has a monumental task to achieve. If the film doesn’t pick, Akhil might be staring at yet another massive shocker in his relaunch. As of now, buyers are having their fingers crossed.
