Compared to Telugu or Tamil, more numbers of heroines in Kannada are taking the political plunge. Ramya, Pooja Gandhi, Rakshita etc.
Ramya won as Congress MP but lost the second time around. Rakshita campaigned for a Party that was subsequently merged with the BJP.
Now another heroine, Priya Haasan is all set to join the electoral fray. Priya is doing quite well as an actress and she is already part of the Congress Party.
In the ensuing Bangalore Municipal elections, Priya will contest for Corporator. This is the interesting part.
Normally, the start off with a minimum MLA or MP posts? So Corporator does seem a bit low for a cine person. But she must be having her reasons.
