In Telugu and Hindi films, if a heroine who is already divorced spends time with his new boyfriend and then reunites finally at the end film, 99% of such films might boomerang at box office. No matter what, a heroine should have only one hero, though hero will romance 2-3 girls.
Coming to our discussion, here goes Hollywood films like Taken, Taken 2, 2012, San Andreas and the present running ‘Ant-Man’, which are some money minting flicks even in India. All these films have one common point, neither the visual effects nor the action stuff, but the ‘love’ of heroes.
All the heroes in these films are divorced or separated from their loving wives and by the end of film they save their kids and finally reunite. In the meantime their wives will be seeing other man, and those others are also part of the film’s story. Except in ‘Ant Man’, in all other films divorcing wives reunite with the heroes.
When would Hollywood think something new rather this breakup-reunion formula for its lead characters? If they don’t change this routine setup, English films will start irritating our audiences.
