‘Honeymoon Express’ has been making waves with its four song album on T-Series. Composed by Kalyani Malik, and title song by Spoorthi Jithender, every song made an impact on the audience, and the viewers are growing by the day. Director Bala Rajasekharuni, and ‘Honeymoon Express’ team met Amala Akkineni at Annapurna College of Film & Media, in Annapurna Studios.
Bala who lives in Los Angeles, expressed, “Annapurna Studios is very special place to me. After living in the US so long, Amala & Nagarjuna Akkineni brought me back to India, as the Dean of Annapurna College of Film & Media. With their encouragement, I started my first Telugu film, ‘Honeymoon Express.’ Faculty, students &alumni of Annapurna College made my main crew on ‘Honeymoon Express.’
Being my mentor, Akkineni Nagarjuna garu launched our first look poster. Hence, I thought it will be a nice thing if Amala Akkineni can launch our teaser. I thank Akkineni family for their immense support to me and, ‘Honeymoon Express” team. Later, Amala watched the teaser with the team. She said, “Bala has been a professor of acting and screenplay in the US for a long time.
But, he always wanted to make a Telugu film one day. Now, I am so glad that his dream has come true. Teaching is one kind of endeavor, and making a film is another kind of challenge. I am happy that Bala has included our faculty, staff and students in ‘Honeymoon Express.’ I’m sure they gained practical experience which is very much needed.
“Teaser looks very funny, romantic and yet, gives a glimpse of a very strong storyline about today’s romantic & marital relationships. When Bala narrated the story, it felt very relevant to today’s times. Film is releasing on June 21st in theaters, and I am sure it will be well received by Telugu audience. All the Very Best to Bala & team, “Honeymoon Express.”
