It is very common for politicians to make several promises, no matter how impossible they sound, for votes. However, the reality of these promises being fulfilled is a completely different story, as some of the promises are highly impossible to fulfil, and some don’t even make sense.
In a very similar tone, recently, Telugu Desam Party National General Secretary, and ex-Minister Nara Lokesh said that the TDP would bring down the cost of petrol in Tirupati if Panabaka Lakshmi wins in the upcoming by-elections. Lokesh said this while campaign for the upcoming Tirupati by-elections in the Satyavedu Assembly constituency of Tirupati Lok Sabha.
This is not the first time that Lokesh has made an interesting comment like this. Previously too, the politician made several statements that had no solid proof or backing. This resulted in him getting badly trolled by the people, and with everyone calling him politically illiterate.
The cost of petrol is something that is decided by the Central government, and not by any MP. There is no way that the TDP would be able to achieve lower prices of petrol by winning in the Tirupati by-elections.
If the people vote for TDP, thinking that something like this is possible, then it’s their innocence, otherwise, Lokesh should perhaps think for a moment before making a statement like that again. Political circles are once again trolling Lokesh and how he always manages to say the wrong thing.
