It is known that the AP Government is desperate for funds to run the state and to keep up the promises they made in the pre-poll period about Navaratnalu, projects and irrigation schemes. Recently, Jagan wrote a letter to Modi for economic support and one can’t deny the fact that Modi has a differential attitude towards Andhra Pradesh.
While everyone is blaming Modi for the limping economy of AP, very few people such as economical and political analysts say that is how Jagan articulated the situation and manipulated the AP people against the centre. Their argument is that Jagan’s show-off attitude and promises made by the over-excitement without proper planning did cost AP people big time.
The intellectuals at the national level have shown some evidence on the same issue. There are reasons why Modi is showing an empty hand in AP at times. Modi himself is not the type to give anything for free to anyone. Even in Gujarat, no free schemes would be visible that were introduced by him in order to win the polls. He is not the type who turns people into lazy. Whatever he does for the people, the contribution of the people in it will definitely be there.
Modi is a kind of leader who wants people to grow on their own, financially. That is why no matter what scheme he puts in place, without giving it to the people for free , he makes them partners. Although the Prime Minister wanted the welfare of the people in all such schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Ujwal and Sukanya, he did not directly distribute funds for free. But in the AP, Jagan is just distributing funds for free.
So, some people opine that Modi did not like the process that YS Jagan adopted as he has seen no scope for skill development among people through the schemes introduced by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. On the other side, Jagan is taking hundreds of crores as loans every possible month to run the state and simultaneously supporting BJP’s decisions in the parliament and finally blaming the Center by writing letters and indirectly making Center the culprit.
