It is finally official. The Group of Ministers has finally conceded the demand of Seemandhra to make Hyderabad as the joint capital for 10 years and that the law and order will be in hands of the center, i.e. Governor. The indication came after the total rejection of the demand to make it an Union Territory after the GoM decision was endorsed by UPA chair person Sonia Gandhi a day ago.
According to indications the GOM and the Antony committee have also affirmed that the Telangana government will not have any stake on resumption of the land assets granted to the Seemandhra industrialists. These are some of the main aspects of the GoM report likely to be given to Union cabinet by today or next week .
Union home ministry sources said that the exercise has begun to draft the final Telangana bill to remove any loop holes and missing issues so that everything will be before the cabinet next week for its endorsement. ‘We are ready for both the Telagnana BIll and also the repurcussions in Assembly, if it arises’ Shinde told Andhra reporters at Delhi.
