RTC services have been running across Telangana except Hyderabad in view of the pandemic’s severity. People in Hyderabad are still striving every nerve to travel back to other states. City dwellers are expecting that the buses, which have been limited to the depot for 78 days due to covid-19, should again kickstart it’s services and the state government is likely to make a positive decision on the same.
Earlier a meeting was organised and proposals related to the implementation of precautionary measures and inter-district services resumption, were put-forth at a review meeting spearheaded by Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar with TSRTC Managing Director Sunil Sharma and executive directors of the transport but no clear decision has been made.
Of late Minister of Transport, Puvvada Ajay held a meet once again with RTC officials at the RTA office in Khairatabad to decide upon the resumption of buses from June 8th subject to certain conditions with social distancing.
Even though RTC buses began operating in all parts of Telangana, the state government has not permitted city buses in Hyderabad due to the sudden spurt of corona virus cases. Nevertheless, the government has decided to facilitate city buses in Hyderabad with certain regulations as it is lifting partial lockdown regulations unlike earlier rules starting on 8th of this month.
