Bruce Lee’s disastrous result was clearly visible during the pre-release business of Kona Venkat’s home production Shankarabharanam, admitted by the writer himself. Kona said that distributors and producers lost trust on him to an extent.
However, Kona quickly disassociated himself from Bruce Lee and said that Sreenu Vaitla didn’t use the scenes written by him. In a recent interview, Kona was asked about the failure of Akhil, for which he was also associated.
But Kona was quick to clarify saying that one can’t brush Akhil’s failure onto him since he was only a dialogue writer for the film and had no say in the film’s story or screenplay as they were written by another writer. The writer also said that he will have to prove himself with Shankarabharanam’s success since his reputation is in danger.
