Inside Story: Worried Rana sceptical about Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake

Rana Daggubati was initially in pole position to bag a lead role in the Telugu remake of Ayyappanum Koshiyum. He was close to signing an agreement with Sithara Entertainments as well. All this happened while Ravi Teja was in talks for the other lead role in the film, but things have changed with the arrival of Power Star Pawan Kalyan.

Rana is sceptical about the project now as he is worried that the script will be modified to suit the image of Pawan Kalyan and his character might lose prominence.Rana feels that the inclusion of a star hero will certainly change the complexion of the script and his own character might be toned down. So, Rana is unclear whether to sign the project or opt out of it.

It is being said that Rana was very much looking forward to working with Ravi Teja for Ayyappanum Koshiyum remake but he is not so sure about the project after Pawan Kalyan came on board. With Rana not showing great interest in the project, the makers have initiated the search for other lead actors who can play the other lead role in the film.

This film will be directed by Sagar K Chandra and bankrolled by Sithara Entertainments. Thaman will compose the music.
