The YSRCP members stand more divided than ever, ahead of the upcoming local elections in the state.
Following the launch of the second phase of Amma Odi, several leaders gathered at the residence of Minister Gautam Reddy, where the strategy for the upcoming local elections was discussed.
The meeting was attended by Government Advisor Sajjala, District In-charge Minister Balineni Srinivas and Panchayati Raj Minister Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy. Except for MLA Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy, everyone else was present at the meeting too.
Venkatagiri MLA Anam Ramanarayana Reddy expressed his fury over the fact that all the MLAs have been disrespected at the CM’s meeting the other day.
He said that not a single name suggested by the MLAs was taken into consideration for the upcoming local elections, and questioned if this was the gift that the party was giving them, for their loyalty towards the party.
Kavali MLA Ramireddy Pratap Kumar Reddy said that the party is now neglecting senior members and is giving more importance to people who came after the seniors. He also said that the SP was not transferred, despite the MLAs requesting for the transfer of the SP, and clearly stating that such a person will not be able to handle the elections.
District in charge Balineni is said to have questioned Gautam about being quiet regarding everything. To Balineni’s question, Aanam is said to have responded by saying that Gautam’s words are being paid a deaf ear to, as his words were not considered even during the CM’s meeting the other day, to which Balineni is said to have been surprised.
Minister Peddireddy is said to have intervened and requested everyone to cooperate with each other, and is said to have also told them to be good to each other, and maintain a sense of unity.
