Does falling sick quite often be attributed to spending too much time online? A recent study says so and it cautions netizens to be aware of the side-effects.
A research team at the University of Swansea and Milan clearly states people who spend several hours daily staring at the computer screen are certain to face health issues such as cold infections, flu and etc.,
The study participated by about 500 individuals aged between 18 to 101 proves those who spend more time online have to deal with inadequate sleep, unhealthy eating habits, less physical activity, excessive smoking and alcohol consumption. Another side-effect is the immense stress these individuals undergo whenever they are disconnected from the internet.
Major reasons behind the ill-health of Internet addicts is staying indoors more often than not (which means lack of interpersonal interaction), eventually leading to weak immune systems and making them prone to disease causing germs.
