After making a pathbreaking film like ‘Arjun Reddy’, director Sandeep Reddy made only one film till date and it is ‘Kabir Singh’ which was a Hindi remake of his Telugu blockbuster. People are waiting for his next flick and he is gearing up with ‘Animal’. Ranbir Kapoor is the hero in this movie while Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine. The shooting has been wrapped up long back and the post-production works are in full swing.
The makers have originally planned to release this film on 11th August but reports suggest that it is going to be tough. As per Bollywood circles, the team of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Oh My God 2’ confirmed it with the makers of ‘Animal’ and decided to arrive on the Independence weekend. The news of the ‘Animal’ postponement wasn’t made official by the T-Series team yet.
Bhushan Kumar is currently very busy with ‘Adipurush’ promotions, business dealings and other negotiations since the movie is hitting the screens on 16th June. Apparently, the news regarding the ‘Animal’ postponement will be revealed in the last week of June. This is going to be a huge relief for films which are arriving during the same weekend.
As we know, Rajnikanth’s ‘Jailer’ is releasing on 10th August and Chiru’s ‘Bholaa Shankar’ is hitting the screens on 11th August. Sunny Deol’s ‘Gaddar 2’ will be arriving on the same weekend. ‘Animal’ might have given tough competition to all these films in the urban areas but it looks like they have one less film to worry about.
Anil Kapoor will be seen in a father role while Bobby Deol plays the villain role in ‘Animal’. After ‘Animal’ gets released, Sandeep will be focusing on ‘Spirit’. ‘Animal’ is going to be Ranbir Kapoor’s second release in 2023 after ‘Tu Jhooti Main Makkar’.
