As expected, the first day of the AP Assembly winter sessions was rocked by the Call Money Sex scandal. This morning, the YSRCP’s adjournment motion demanding a discussion on the call money sex scandal was denied by Speaker Kodela amidst huge protests by the YSRCP MLAs.
The sessions resumed after back-to-back adjournments, and in his speech, the BJLP leader and Vizag North MLA Vishnu Kumar Raju came down heavily on the call money sex racket culprits. The MLA said that the dreaded ISIS terrorists are much better than the call money scandal culprits.
Vishnu Kumar Raju said that there is no bigger heinous crime than forcing the helpless women who couldn’t pay back the borrowed money into prostitution. The MLA said that the culprits are extorting Rs 3 lakhs in the form of interests as against the Rs 1 lakh they lent.
The MLA demanded immediate arrests and stricter punishment to the culprits. Earlier today, the YS Jagan-led YSRCP MLAs stated a protest march from Ravindrabharati to Assembly, demanding the immediate arrests of the TDP MLAs who are facing allegations in the case.
