Known as YSR’s close aide and YCP’s sympathiser, former MP Vundavalli Arun Kumar has warned Jagan administration over growing anti-incumbancy. Cautioning that 151 seats and 51 percent votes are not permanent forever, Vundavalli said the power cuts in last 100 days have brought bad name to the government. He said the people are not bothered about the reason and efforts of government, but he said the people are only bothered about the final result – power crisis.
Recalling history, Vundavalli reminded that PV Narasimha Rao had got 219 seats out of 275 seats in 1972 and he lost power within six months. He reminsced that in 1994 NTR had got 54 percent votes but NTR was dethroned by Chandrababu in just 9 months. He warned Jagan that nothing is permanent in politics and he asked Jagan to learn from history. He advised Jagan to be in the goodbooks of MLAs and act as if MLAs are important to him. He said the leader should also listen to his party MLAs and make an impression that they are important to their leader.
With such honest advise coming from none other than Jagan’s admirer and well-wisher Vundavalli, these comments gained a lot of political significance. Even YCP leaders and MLAs are murmuring that Vundavalli is correct and hoping that Jagan would follow senior politician’s advise. Will Jagan and Vijay Sai Reddy heed to Vundavalli? Only time will tell.
