It seems like Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister has developed a taste for controversies. Right from three capital decision to Nimmagadda’s expulsion, most of his decisions went controversial. In order to get what he wants he didn’t respect the judicial system too. Now, the AP Chief Minister landed in another controversy regarding the Pothi Reddy lift irrigation project.
It is known that two months back, the Telangana government complained to the Krishna Tribunal Board about the AP government who has decided to lift 3TMCs of water from the Pothireddypadu Head Regulator at Sanghameswaram which eventually would come as a loss to the other Telugu speaking state. The Krishna Board also asked the AP government to stop the works until the center’s approval.
In a much sensible way, they advised them to submit the project DPR and also clarified that they should get the approval from Apex council if they want to continue this project forward. Now, Jagan all of a sudden has invited for tenders for this lift irrigation project worth Rs.3278.18 cores and said that the people whose tender gets approved should complete the work within 30 months.
So, Telangana immediately reacted to the latest decision of Jagan and asked Krishna Board to stop the reverse tendering of the Rayalaseema project at the earliest. The center has already eyed on the monarchial decision of the AP CM and given the nature of Jagan, this controversy might disturb the peace factor between the two Telugu speaking states and might fume the BJP as well.
