The YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government is all set to launch a bus yatra to explain to the people about the slew of welfare programmes that are being implemented in the state. The Bus Yatra would begin on May 26 and would end on May 29. As part of this, four public meetings would be held in four different places. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting presided over by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
As many as 17 ministers, MPs and MLAs would take part in the yatra that would begin either from Vizianagaram or Srikakulam. The yatra would also touch the constituency headquarters and mandal centres. On May 27, a public meeting would be held in Rajahmundry. On May 28, a public meeting would be held at Narasaraopet. Another public meeting would be held at Anantapur.
Meanwhile Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would address public meetings in six districts. At the same time, the YSRCP is organizing the “Gadapa Gadapaku” programme. These are intended to inform the people about the achievements of the government during the last three years. The yatra would also explain about the future programmes of the government.
Meanwhile, the opposition TDP is organizing the Badude Badudu programme to protest against the YSRCP government. Leader of the Opposition Chandrababu Naidu is currently in the Rayalaseema region. He is addressing street-corner meetings and public meetings. Both the yatras are likely to raise the political temperature in the state.
