Is YSRC party chief YS Jagan planning to take credit for the Silent Protest that has been planned on the eve of Republic day seeking Special Status for AP?
It is known that AP youth planned to organize an apolitical protest at RK beach in Vizag to kick-start the Special Status Movement on 26th Jan. Although Pawan Kalyan must be credited for infusing the spirit of Jallikattu movement among AP youth with his inspiring tweets, his direct involvement in tomorrow’s protest is still doubtful.
On the other hand, YS Jagan has now announced that he would take part in the Candle light rally in Vizag and challenged the TDP govt. to arrest him. As the protest doesn’t have a political face, Jagan might have thought of reaping the benefits of it in future by taking part in it now. Realizing the sensitive situation against the state govt, he has also taken potshots at CM Chandrababu for creating hindrances for the peaceful protest.
If Pawan Kalyan doesn’t attend, needless to say that Jagan will hog all the limelight and he might use this apolitical protest for his political gain. All the efforts of Pawan on social media might be overshadowed by Jagan’s political stint.
If both Pawan and Jagan participate, the situation will be different. Going by the stance of Pawan, he has been calling the protest ‘Apolitical’ from day one so there is little chance for his direct involvement.
