Rivalry between leader of the opposition, Jagan Mohan Reddy of YSRCP and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu of TDP is well known. Chandra Babu fought bitter battles not only with Jagan Mohan Reddy but also his father YS.Rajasekhar Reddy. But it seems now Jagan joined Chandra Babu Naidu and NTR’s party.
It is known that even YS.Rajasekahr Reddy fought bitter battles with Chandra Babu and NTR. Jagan Mohan Reddy boycotted Andhra Pradesh assembly session. Earlier Chandra Babu Naidu and senior NTR boycotted assembly sessions as the leader of the opposition. None of the congress leaders had the guts to boycott the assembly session.
After the defeat in 1989 elections, everyone wondered how NTR would lead the oppositon under the regime of Congress rule led by Kotla Vijayabhaskara Reddy. Chandra Babu Naidu too was insulted in the assembly by the then Congress party led by YS.Rajasekhar Reddy.
Once Rajasekhar Reddy thundered saying he would wash away Chandra Babu and make him lament why he came out his mother’s womb. Chandra Babu decided to boycott the assembly for three days. Now Chandra Babu after coming to power got the opportunity to take revenge not on YSR but his son Jagan Mohan Reddy.
Seeems that was the reason why they are not speaking about policies and development in the assembly but targeting Jagan Mohan Reddy and YSR. Congress insulted him on many occasions and a hurt NTR boycotted the assembly taking a vow that he would enter only after winning the elections. The next five years Chandra Babu led TDP as the opposition leader on behalf of NTR.
