After breaking head on various facts and actual figures, the Joint Fact Finding Committee (JFC) constituting Pawan Kalyan, intellectuals, experts such as Jayaprakash Narayan, Undavalli Arun Kumar, K Padmanabhaiah, IYR Krishna Rao and many others have finally released its final report. The committee which done extensive research and deep study stated that AP deserves Special Category Status apart from what it has been promised in the AP Reorganization Act such as Special Railway Zone to Vizag, alternative Port to Dugarajapatnam Port, Kadapa Steel Plant, Special Finance Assistance to backward regions of Rayalaseema, Uttar Andhra, National Level Institutions promised to AP.
Pawan Kalyan : AP Deserves Special Category Status
Pawan Kalyan has expressed his deep concern over the injustice meted out to the successor state of Andhra Pradesh from the Centre. Pawan has demanded the Centre to announce Special Category Status to AP. Pawan also demanded for the Special Railway Zone to Visakhapatnam. He questioned the Centre for delay in announcing the Railway Zone to Vizag.
Pawan also raised the issue Dugarajapatnam port that was denied due to national security reasons by Centre. He blamed both the Centre, State for the delay and why not an alternative was proposed and the work initiated. Pawan totally blamed politics as the reason for the bifurcation of AP and not “People were not involved in bifurcation. It was political parties which were behind the unruly bifurcation. Responsibility lies with political parties to cover up its huge loss incurred to AP,” said Pawan.
Taking direct pot shots at CM Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan said he didn’t know whether Chandrababu is acting with “lack of knowledge” or acting “willingly” when Centre is doing injustice to AP for the last 4 years. Pawan said he had supported TDP and BJP combine hoping that they would do justice to AP given their “experience” and “expertise”. He said he is questioning them right now as people are questioning him for supporting the TDP-BJP combine in 2014.
Pawan even raised the political issue of whether TDP and BJP would sail together in 2019 elections or may join their forces after elections. He asked both the TDP, BJP which are in governance at Centre, State should resolve issues and do justice to AP without further delay.
JP : 1.2 Lakh Crore Pending From Centre
Jayaprakash Narayan has put major blame on BJP-led Union Government. After a detailed study and analysis, JP said that the Centre owes at least 1,20,000 Crore to AP. He said that JFC has considered 7 major issues and worked on them based on the facts. He reiterated that the facts can’t be disputed and facts are facts.
“Without any dispute, the Centre has to issue 74,542 Crore under revenue deficit to AP, 10,225 Crore under figment benefit, another 22,250 Crore, 3850 Crore as rightful share of AP,” said JP. He added that the total funds Centre owes to AP is at least 1.2 Lakh crore apart from a few unaccounted
JP said that AP paid a huge price due to flawed AP Reorganization Act. “While business organizations which operate business across unified Andhra Pradesh were told to pay taxes at their head office. With this, many business organizations paid taxes to Telangana state and this accounts 3,850 Crore loss to AP. This has to be compensated by the Centre,” said JP.
Padmanabhaiah : Announce Package to Rayalaseema, Uttar Andhra
Former Union Home Secretary and retired civil servant K Padmanabhaiah too blamed Centre for its injustice. He demanded that the backward regions of Rayalaseema, Uttar Andhra immediately need Special Financial Assistance from the Centre.
