Tamil actor Karthi has issued an apology to Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan following a recent controversy surrounding a comment he made at a promotional event for his upcoming film, “Sathyam Sundaram.”
During the event, Karthi was shown a meme featuring the infamous “Laddu Kavala Nayana” picture. In a lighthearted manner, he remarked that the topic was sensitive and he would prefer not to comment on it. However, Pawan Kalyan took offense to Karthi’s comment, stating that jokes about “laddu” should be avoided and that the topic should be treated with respect.
In response to Kalyan’s criticism, Karthi immediately took to social media to clarify his intentions. Addressing his apology to Kalyan, Karthi stated, “Dear sir, with deep respect to you, I apologize for any unintended misunderstanding caused. As a humble devotee of Lord Venkateswara, I always hold our traditions dear. Best regards.”
Karthi’s apology has been well-received by the Telugu public, who have understood that his intentions were never to hurt their sentiments. The controversy has now been resolved, and the focus has shifted back to Karthi’s upcoming film, “Sathyam Sundaram.”
Directed by C Prem Kumar, the film is a heartwarming drama set in a rural backdrop. The teaser and trailer have garnered positive reviews, promising a blend of humor, emotions, and meaningful life lessons. The film stars Karthi, Aravind Swami, Sri Divya, Swathi Konde, and Devadarshini in key roles. “Sathyam Sundaram” is set to hit theaters on September 28th and is expected to be a commercial success.
