Senior Telangana Congress leader S Jaipal Reddy has made some startling revelations about TS Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He said that KCR was offered Telangana Congress chief post as well as CM post in lieu of merger of TRS with Congress after the creation of Telangana in 2014.
In a TV interview, Reddy said that soon after the adoption of Telangana Reorganization Act, KCR rushed to him and thanked for fulfilling the dreams of Telangana. Reddy added that KCR accepted the proposal when Congress offered Telangana PCC chief post and also CM post.
“He however changed his mind later and turned down the offer. Even before the Congress made the offer, KCR himself announced on several occasions that he was ready to merge TRS with the Congress party if Telangana state was awarded,” Reddy recollected.
He further said that KCR was the torchbearer of Telangana movement and that the Congress party made all the arrangements to promote KCR as the future leader of Congress in Telangana.
The senior congress leader made it clear he is not in race for CM post and that he won’t accept even if the high command offered it to him in future. – See more at: http://www.gulte.com/news/55829/KCR-Accepted-To-Be-Congress-Chief-CM#sthash.JEQaYeXq.dpuf
