There is no stopping for the fuel prices in the country. The petrol and diesel prices have reached an all-time high and in several states, petrol has surpassed the century mark and diesel crossed the 90-mark. If the prices continue to increase like this, within no time, diesel prices will also reach the century mark.
The Telangana wing of Congress under the leadership of newly appointed Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) chief Revanth Reddy has staged a protest against the fuel prices.
As part of the protest, the Congress party has planned for ‘Chalo Raj Bhavan’. However, their protest was spoiled by the cops who detained the Congress party activists and sympathisers at the protesting site.
He said that the Telangana government is stopping them from doing the protests,going by the instructions the state government received from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Revanth Reddy targeted Telangana Chief Minister KCR over the cops detaining the party activists. Speaking to the media, he said, KCR is thinking that he will be staying in Pragathi Bhavan for a longer time. But what he doesn’t know is that he has only 730 days and he will not stay in Pragathi Bhavan after that.
T-Congress chief Revanth Reddy added that a few of KCR relatives are moving to other countries as a bid to escape from here and maintained that two years later, KCR will also do the same. However, he said, they will bring KCR back even if he escapes.
Revanth Reddy leveled allegations against the ruling TRS for tapping the phones that belong to the Congress and BJP leaders. He also alleged that a few police personnel, including IG Prabhakar Rao. As our plans were tapped, they are knowing our plans, he maintained.
He also spoke about the fuel prices and said, Congress will come to power in the state in the general elections and the fuel prices will also be reduced, Revanth Reddy said.
The firebrand leader assured that the farmers will be getting the required support from the government end in Telangana in the ruling of Sonia Gandhi. Sonia Gandhi is currently serving as the National chief of the Congress party.
