Ace Shuttler and Olympic silver medal winner PV Sindhu has been given land for housing purpose in Hyderabad. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao alloted a plot of 1000 Square Yards in Bharani Layout, TS.No.1, Block.F, Ward 9 correlated to Sy.No.403 of Shaikpet village and Mandal in Hyderabad. As per the market rate, the land costs nearly Rs 50 lakh.
Government allotted the the land to Sindhu for having won a Silver Medal in RIO Olympics, as a part of government incentive, in relaxation of rules. Sindhu was already given Rs one crore as cash prize by the Telangana Government.
Sindhu has been centre of attraction in India’s sports arena after she won medal in the Olympics. She also got many cash prizes and incentives from various state government and the union government.
