Telangana Chief Minister and Telangana Rashtra Samithi president, KCR, had decided to go in for early elections in 2018 when he and his party won more than comfortably in the state. With the elections coming up in 2023 for Telangana, there have been speculations in the state about early elections. However, time and again, KCR has been denying such a thing.
On Monday, the Telangana CM spoke to the media for more than an hour and a half, where he spoke about a lot of things he’s already spoken about at length, one of which includes early elections. He said that he had gone in for early elections in 2018 as there was a need for it, but since there’s no such need now, there wouldn’t be any early elections in the state. KCR also said that he’s going to create a sensation very soon, in national politics, saying that he’s planning to make TRS a national party. KCR also spoke about his involvement with famous political strategist Prashanth Kishore. He said that PK doesn’t work for money, but that he works for the good of the people of the country. He said that there’s nothing wrong in being associated with PK and that it was a good thing, as PK is someone who knows what the people want.
On the other hand, KCR also took the opportunity to once again lash out at the BJP, saying that the country would only get better if the BJP is outed from power in the Centre. KCR once again asked the Central government to clarify issues regarding the procurement of rice from the state and warned the Centre of severe ramifications otherwise.
