KCR not to attend Mamta Didi’s Delhi meeting

The ruling TRS in Telangana has decided not to take part in the meeting called by Trinamool Congress chief Mamta Banerjee in New Delhi. Mamta Didi has invited 22 regional parties and the Congress party for the meeting. It has extended an invitation to the TRS too. The meeting would decide the strategy to be adopted for the presidential election in the country.

However, the TRS has decided not to attend the meeting. It’s chief objection is to the TMC invitation to the Congress Party. The TRS wants to keep equal distance between both the Congress and the BJP. Hence, it is opposed to the presence of the Congress at the meeting. KCR held a series of discussions on Tuesday on the issue of Mamta’s invitation.

He discussed the issue with Planning Board vice-chairperson Vinod and minister Jagadeesh Reddy at the Pragathi Bhavan. KCR is of the opinion that both the Congress and the BJP are his enemies and attending any meeting that has the Congress would send wrong signals in the State. He is also upset that the Congress has helped the BJP win the bypoll in Huzurabad.

KCR is also said to be unhappy over the recent public meeting of Rahul Gandhi in Hanamkonda. In Hanamkonda, Rahul Gandhi did not say a word about the BJP. He targeted the TRS only. All his criticism was directed against the TRS. KCR feels that the TRS should not align with a party that has targeted it. So, KCR is not going to take part in the meeting.
