The Telangana BJP on Thursday denounced the lopsided priorities of CM KCR and his government, which is costing lives of poor and needy in the state of Telangana.
BJP official spokesman K Krishna Sagar Rao said the inundation of Osmania General Hospital with rain and sewerage water, and the plight of poor patients in the most prominent government hospital in the state reflected the misgovernance and criminal negligence of the TRS government.
“What is more appalling is the explanation being given by the TRS government for the mammoth irresponsibility. The ruling TRS party is blaming opposition parties for obstruction to the Osmania Hospital building to reconstruct a new hospital building in its place,” Rao said.
The opposition parties in the state including BJP and many civil society organizations obstructed the demolition of the 110-year old ‘heritage building’. The building needs restoration and preservation to protect the heritage structures for the next generation.
However, BJP has neither objected mor will ever object, if the state government were to build a new building elsewhere for relocation of Osmania General Hospital.
“Why didn’t KCR plan to build a new Osmania General Hospital at a new location? What stopped him from finding a bigger plot of land and build a modern hospital building and relocate Osmania General Hospital?” he asked.
He said the BJP strongly believed that instead of constructing buildings like Pragati Bhavan, New Police Head Quarters, New Secretariat, CM KCR should have built more government hospitals and schools in the state.
