KCR’s first cabinet meet after Etela’s quitting on June 8

The Telangana cabinet will meet on June 8 to discuss the Corona situation and on whether to extend the lockdown. The meeting would be held at 2 pm. Chief Minister Kalwakuntla Chandrasekhar Rao will preside over the meet. This will be the first meeting after Etela Rajender has resigned from the TRS and the legislative assembly.

The meeting would discuss the covid situation. There would be a detailed discussion on the possibility of the third wave of Corona hitting the State and on how to handle the situation. The government will also discuss the inauguration of 19 diagnostic centres in the state. On June 9, the government will inaugurate these diagnostic centres in various places in the state.

The meeting will also discuss about the coming agriculture season. Issues like Rythu Bandhu, input subsidy, supply of seeds and fertilisers, preventing sale of spurious seeds and on the progress of the irrigation schemes in the state. Sources said that the cabinet will also discuss the financial situation in the state.

Meanwhile, since this is the first cabinet meeting being held in the aftermath of Etela Rajender’s quitting of the TRS, the political situation too could come up informally in the meeting, sources said. CM KCR might take feedback from the ministers about the impact of Etela’s quitting. Huzurabad bypoll too is likely to figure in the informal discussions, sources revealed.
