Telangana Chief Minister KCR expressed frustration with the junior doctors of the state and said that it is not right for them to abandon their duties during a crisis like this, and participate in protests. He said that it is not right for them to neglect the health of the public at this point, and promised to sort out every valid problem they have, and requested all of them to get back to work as soon as possible.
KCR also said that the stipend of all senior resident doctors would be increased by 15% and that all medical students helping out with the current situation would also get a stipend on par with senior resident doctors. KCR also promised to give a better stipend to all those eligible, than the prevalent stipend in other states.
On the other hand, the positivity rate of coronavirus has gone down drastically in Telangana since the lockdown, and the number of cases is also coming down. Telangana is one of the states with the lowest positivity rates in the country, and the situation is expected to get much better in the coming days.
