A flexi put up by a TDP representative in Prakasam District of Andhra Pradesh has attracted everyone’s attention as Telangana Chief Minister and TRS founder K Chandrashekar Rao’s photo was imprinted on it alongside the photos of Sr NTR and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu.
The unusual incident took place in Velamavaripalli village, in Prakasam District. The area’s local Sarpanch has erected a flexi in order to welcome TDP MLA Gottimukkkala Ravi Kumar to the village to take part in ‘Intintiki TDP’ programme. It is common to see the photos of TDP founder Sr NTR and party chief Chandrababu Naidu in the flexis put by party cadres. However, in the felxi arranged in Velamavaripalli, the photo of KCR was also imprinted.
It is undeniable that KCR has substantial following in AP. He received warm welcome when he visited Tirupati and recently attended the wedding of Paritala Sriram in Ananthapur. There were a few occasions when flexis were erected for him in AP. But, this probably is the first time that his photo was seen on a TDP flexi. And, there is a special reason for this.
Speaking to a news channel, the village sarpanch said that KCR belongs to their Velaga community, which is predominant in the village, and that they take pride in their community member being the CM of a Telugu state.
