Dil Raju’s latest production venture, Kerintha is turning out to be a big disaster in USA. The tragedy is that the US distributor may not even recover the costs of drives even. The movie had got decent reviews and every one expected the movie to do well at the box office. But they were wrong.
The movie even had no competition from any other Telugu film as Jyothi Lakshmi release was cancelled as the customs department did not release the film’s drives in the last minute. The Overseas rights have been sold for Rs.50 lakhs and expected to loose every thing including additional Rs.20 to 25 lakhs expenses incurred on drives, transportation, theaters etc. Dil Raju may have to make up for this loss for the distributor with his next film.
