Kesineni Nani not to contest in next general elections

Vijayawada MP Kesineni Srinivas, also known as Nani, seems to be dissatisfied with the Telugu Desam Party’s supremacy. He informed the party chief N Chandrababu Naidu that he will not contest the upcoming general elections. The information is that Nani has made it clear that her daughter will also not vie in any election anymore. The senior TDP leader was also absent from Chandrababu’s visit to Vijayawada a few days ago.

It is learned that a dispute broke out between the city party leaders during the Vijayawada Corporation elections. In this context, MLC Buddha Venkanna, Bonda Uma, made harsh remarks about Kesineni Nani. The controversy was mainly over Nani’s daughter’s mayoral seat.

Chandrababu responded to this issue seriously and suggested the leaders to maintain harmony in the party. However, Nani seems to be upset that no action has been taken against the city party leaders for their remarks against him.

Since then, Nani has been away from party activities. But as an MP, he is attending official functions. In the wake of these developments, it seems that Kesineni has decided not to contest in the coming elections, along with his daughter. It remains to be seen how the party high command will respond to Nani’s decision.
