Popular assumption is that Telangana CM KCR’s son, IT Minister KTR will not be supporting Telugu Film Industry’s demands, especially of those related to makers and heroes from Andhra region. But he stunned one and all today by attending the muhurat event of a Telugu movie. He posed a straight question to directors and producers of Tollywood, giving goose bumps to media folks at the spot.

‘Already Bollywood flicks are touching 500 crores revenues and we are still struggling to cross 100 Crores. When will our films collect more than 100 Cr?’, asked KTR, springing a surprise for Telugu movie makers. ‘KCR government is ready to provide exemptions for film industry. Telugu film big-wigs should advise both AP and Telangana governments about steps to be taken for development of Film Industry to an international level’, he stressed. Many people might have not expected such a positive and collective statement from KTR and this makes the intentions of T-state clear.

After attending the launch of new movie ‘Tippu’ in which popular distributor Vizag Raju’s son Karthik is debuting as a hero, KTR made these interesting comments. He stated that even Vizag should be developed at rapid pace as Telugu movie-making hub. Both KTR and producer Suresh Babu are seen engrossing in a candid chat at Ramanaidu studios, where this event took place. Andhra Pradesh minister Ayyannapatrudu also attended this event.
