Lagadapati Pepper Spray Goes Global

A la pepper spray incident happened in Indian parliament where then Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal did during the passing of AP Reorganisation Act 2013, a similar incident happened in the parliament of Kosovo in Southeastern Europe.

However, the parliament of Republic of Kosovo in capital city Pristina witnessed more din, disruption as the Opposition there used tear gas, pepper spray while protesters outside threw stones, paint at police, parliament building. With this the parliament of Kosovo turned a war zone.

Going into details, ruling and Opposition MPs have been at logger heads over EU-brokered dialogue and agreements with Serbia, the country from which Kosovo broke away and declared independence in 2008. Kosovo is a disputed territory.

Though heavy police deployment in and around parliament, the Opposition MPs resorted to use of pepper spray to disrupt the house. The spray was aimed at the direction of Prime Minister Isa Mustafa and his cabinet ministers leaving them to shift to another room in the building to continue the session.
