Finally after a 2 decade long manhunt in several sub-continent and South East Asian countries, dreaded mafia don Chhota Rajan has been arrested in Bali, Indonesia by an Interpol team, following a tipoff from the Australian police forces. Chhota Rajan is India’s most wanted man for nearly 20 murders.

Rajendra Sadashiv Nikalje alias Chhota Rajan is a Marathi brought up in Mumbai. He first entered the crime world with black ticket marketing at cinema halls and mastered crime under the guidance of his gurus Bada Rajan and Yadagiri of Hyderabad. Soon, Chhota  Rajan became a trusted lieutenant of notorious international mafia don Dawood Ibrahim.

However, the Dawood-Chhota Rajan friendship ended after the 1993 Bombay serial blasts and the rift became uglier after an assassination attempt on Chhota  Rajan in Bangkok in 2000. Chhota escaped and took his revenge by killing Dawood’s men and even tipping the RAW of Dawood’s whereabouts.

Chhota Rajan was arrested at the Bali airport after landing from a flight from Sydney. However, there has been a confusion regarding the identity of Chhota Rajan, as international media states that the person arrested is not Rajan but yet another dangerous serial killer ‘Cyanide Mohan’.
