Maharshi’s Non-Theatrical Rights: Non-Baahubali Record

Mahesh Babu has yet again proved his superstar status. Mahesh’s landmark 25th film has been the most-awaited film this Summer and the film is a hot cake in trade. While the film’s theatrical rights are already touching new highs, here is the inside update about the film’s non-theatrical rights.

It is learnt that the non-theatrical rights of Maharshi has raked in a staggering Rs 47.5 Crore. Through digital rights to Amazon Prime, the makers said to have earned Rs 11 Crore. The Telugu satellite rights reportedly fetched Rs 11 Crore by selling it to Gemini TV (Sun Network). It is buzzed that the Hindi dubbed satellite raked in Rs 20 Crore. The music rights to Aditya Music has reportedly fetched Rs 2 Crore. Thus, the total tally of non-theatrical rights of Maharshi has taken to an estimation of Rs 47.5 Crore. This is a non-Baahubali record for non-theatrical business of a Telugu film. Looks like, producers Dil Raju, Aswani Dutt and PVP is making a merry out of Mahesh’s 25th film.

As per the latest buzz, the makers of Maharshi have struck a gold with the film’s overseas rights. The theatrical overseas rights of Maharshi have reportedly fetched Rs 12.5 Crore. Great India Films, the overseas distributor, has acquired the film’s theatrical rights in the abroad. This is a fancy deal for Maharshi’s overseas rights.

As the movie is going to hit the screens on May 9th world-wide, the overseas distributors are planning for grand premiere on May 8th in the US and elsewhere. The overseas distributors want to make a ransom through the premieres.
