Among the senior set of stars, Nag is definitely class apart. He’s humble and down-to-earth. Proving this again, he has told his producer of Om Namo Venkatesaya to call him just Nagarjuna.
While producer A Mahesh Reddy was talking at the success meet of the film, he referred Nagarjuna as his best friend yet called him “Nagarjuna Garu”. Taking the mike from Mahesh Reddy, Nag said, ‘Mahesh, call me Nagarjuna”.
Usually, no other star of Nag’s stature would tell this to a new-age producer who has produced only two films – Shirdi Sai, Om Namo Venkatesaya – so far, but Nag didn’t think for a second before telling him to call him with name. That’s Nag!
Most-Memorable Compliment by Amala
Ever since the film is released, I’m flooded with compliments from industry, friends. Chiranjeevi garu got emotional after watching the premiere. He had shown me the wet tissues that he used to wipe his tears during climax. I’m so elated with his response. I’m honoured.
Apart from it, the most memorable compliment I’ve received is from Amala. After returning to home after watching the film, Amala sat next to me for over an hour, held my hand tightly and just stayed with me by looking into my eyes. She had liked the film very much. I came to knew how much she loves me only after this.
I felt we were like new couple who show love on each other. Nag thanked director K. Raghavendra Rao for making this to happen. He said he gave him a great gift in form of “Om Namo Venkatesaya”.
