What’s the biggest requirement for the success of a film? Most would say ‘Story’, well no one can deny that, but haven’t we seen award winning films biting dust at box office? Many factors come into effect in making a film success, and one such prime factors is ‘Combination’.
The recently released horror film, ‘Raju Gari Gadhi 2’ looks to be reaping the benefits from the dream combination of Nagarjuna Akkineni-Samantha, the now-official star Mama-Kodalu of Tollywood.
Of course the film has the ‘horror’ genre advantage, tag of the sequel of a hit film, okayish content, technical finesse, but what really seems to have worked for the film is the combination of Nag and Samantha. The fact that the latter has recently become the daughter-in-law of the former has come as a blessing in disguise for the film.
RGG2 has opened extremely well, and raked is around Rs 5 Cr share share at worldwide box office. The numbers are great in overseas and Karnataka too.
Early reports on Saturday indicate good occupancy and buyers are expecting close to Rs 15 Cr share by the end of first weekend. The coming Diwali festive days are expected to help the film further.
