Man Dies Imitating Baahubali Jump

In movies and advertisements having action sequences, we are often bombarded with the disclaimer, “The stunts performed in this film/ad are by trained professionals. Do not try this at home.” No matter how many times such disclaimers are shown, some people still try to ape the heroes and end up losing their lives or sustaining fatal injuries.

Indrapal Patil, a Mumbai-based man has recently died while trying to perform the waterfall stunt done by Prabhas in ‘Baahubali’. Reportedly, he died on the spot after trying to repeat the Baahubali jump during his visit to a waterfall in Mumbai. His family was appalled and heartbroken learning about his mad stunt.

In fact, there was no waterfall at all in Baahubali. Prabhas just jumped off a small height using ropes and it was shown with breathtaking graphics work. In certain scenes of Baahubali, ‘computer generated graphics’ disclaimer is clearly seen at the bottom of the screen.

Its disheartening to see some people committing such foolish acts despite knowing that most of the stunts in Baahubali were computer generated.
