As if there are no more important issues to take care of, BJP started tackling #Mersal movie like a national calamity. And taking part in a debate about removing GST related dialogues from the Vijay starrer, BJP’s national spokesperson GVLN Rao made some strong remarks on film celebs.
In a leading English news channel debate, Rao said, “Most of our film stars have very low general knowledge”. This is because Vijay said in his film that Singapore has low GST than India but still providing better healthcare. Responding to his comments, Vishnu gave a black and blue.
“Dear G V L N RAO, If most of the FilmStars have v low IQ and Low GK, are most politicians are corrupt and thugs? Don’t forget some of the greatest politicians of our country were FilmStars. Sri.NTR, Sri.MGR,Kum.Jayalalitha just to name three. One doesn’t need to have very high IQ or very high GK to express an opinion (sic)”, tweeted Manchu Vishnu, taking a hard-hitting at the BJP spokesperson.
Furthermore, he added, “I am a Hindu & I am married to a Christian. I strongly believe and practice Hindutva and I am proud to say it. I say this bcos what I said ain’t political. I respect BJP immensely and am a fan of Modiji. Respect!”, he tweeted, making his stand clear.
Reacting to Rao’s comments, even Bollywood director Farhan Akhtar asked, “How dare you, sir?”. It seems like BJP is making self-goal by making Mersal movie a national issue.
Meanwhile, farmers suicides, cow vigilantes and rapes in states like Bihar and UP have no stopping as BJP is busy tackling a Tamil film.
