It’s common knowledge by now that director Ram Gopal Varma is teaming up with Manchu Manoj and the film has been titled as “Golusu”. The latest we hear is that the movie first went to actor Rana Daggubati.
Although Rana immensely liked the script and even producer-Rana’s dad Suresh Babu given his go ahead, it’s Rana’s dates which played spoilsport. “Since Rana is stuck with two big projects Baahubali and Rudhramadevi, he couldn’t allot date for RGV.
Naturally, this hasn’t gone well with Varma. Instead of waiting, RGV decided to go ahead with Manchu Manoj, Manoj is more than happy to take up the offer,” said a source in the know.
Billed to be a mafia-backdrop film on the lines of Satya, Company and D, RGV this time around worked rigorously on the script to meet the expectations. Since it’s his favourite genre, the film is expected to have his trademark style elements.
